Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 1 pint warm water
  • 1 package dry yeast
  • 1 tbsp sugar

Mix yeast into warm water until dissolved. Add enough flour for thick batter. Cover and let rise about 1 hour.

Add:

  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup sugar

Knead in flour until stiff and not sticky to touch. Refrigerate in covered bowl. Roll out as needed and let rise until double in size. Bake at 350 degrees until brown.
