Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997
- 2 stick butter or oleo
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 cup flour
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 (3 1/2 oz) can Baker’s Angel Flake coconut
- Confectioners’ sugar
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add flour, vanilla, and coconut. Mix well. Roll by hand into small balls. Put on a cookie sheet about an inch apart. Flatten those balls with a fork which has been dipped in cold water.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool cookies. Dust with powdered sugar (optional).
This makes 4 to 5 dozen.
These are a good cookie but it is difficult to find canned coconut.
