Orange Slice Cake

Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 cup sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 3 cup flour
  • 1/2 tsp soda
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 lb dates, chopped
  • 2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 lb orange candy slices
  • 1 small can coconut
  • Vanilla

Bake at 300 degrees for 2 yours or until done. Boil 1 cup orange juice and 1 cup sugar. Pour over hot cake in pan. Let stand for 2 hours then turn onto cake plate.
