Granny’s Banana Nut Cake

Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 3 cup sugar
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 tsp banana extract
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped
  • 3 1/2 cup flour, sifted
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 cup (6 ripe) bananas, mashed

*Blend sugar, oil, vanilla, extract, and eggs well with a mixer. Next add flour soda, buttermilk, and salt. Blend it all together well. Finally add pecans and bananas. Stir everything together. Pour into a greased and floured Bundt pan.

Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until golden brown.
