Graham Cracker Bars

Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 1 1/2 sticks margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup evaporated milk

Mix above and boil 2 minutes. Remove from heat.

Add:

  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup graham crackers, crushed
  • 1 cup coconut
  • 1 cup nuts, chopped

Cover bottom of 9×12 inch pan with whole graham crackers. Cover crackers with above filling. Add another layer of graham crackers.

Press. Cover with icing.

ICING:

Cream:

  • 1/2 stick oleo
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 Tbsp evaporated milk
  • 1/2 box powdered sugar

Cool and then cut into 1 inch squares.
