Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1 cup oleo
- 1 (15 oz) box seedless raisins
- Pinch salt
Bring to boil on top of stove and add:
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp cloves
- 2 tsp soda
- 4 cups flour
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
Bake about 1 hour in 350 degree oven.
Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 to 3 Tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla
