- 1/2 cup oleo
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 Tbsp orange peel, grated
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cup flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 3/4 cup pecans, chopped
- 2 cup (12 oz) chocolate pieces
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a 15x 10 inch pan with foil. In a large bowl, beat oleo, sugar, eggs, vanilla, orange peel, and salt until light. Add flour and baking powder; beating until blended. Stir in pecans and chocolate pieces. Spread batter in foil-lined pan.
Baked 20 minutes. Cool in pan. Cut cooled cookies in bars. Makes 50 cookies.
