Creamy Pralines

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 tsp soda
  • 1/2 cup Pet® milk
  • 1/2 cup Karon® syrup
  • 2 cup pecans, broken
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Mix sugar, soda, Karo, and butter in large boiler. Cook until it forms a soft ball when dropped in cold water. Add nuts and vanilla. If you cook the candy fast it will make lighter and prettier pralines. Beat the candy well until it can be dropped by a teaspoon on wax paper. If the candy hardens making it difficult to drop, set it in a pan of hot water to stir until it loosens.
