Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997
- 3 cup flour
- 1 Tbsp vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- 3/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/4 cup Crisco
- 1 egg
- 5 Tbsp water
Makes 3 (9 inch) crusts. Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in Crisco®. Combine water with beaten egg and vinegar. Sprinkle 4 tablespoons of the water to mixture and toss with flour mixture. Add balance of water and work into a soft ball. Chill before rolling out. Try not to add any more flour.
