Buttermilk Chess Pie

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp flour
  • 5 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 2/3 cup buttermilk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (9 inch) pie shell, unbaked

Combine sugar and flour in a large bowl; add eggs and buttermilk, stirring until blended. Stir in batter and vanilla and pour into unbaked pie shell. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until set. Cool on wire racks.
