Flo’s Vinegar Pie Crust

Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 4 cups flour
  • 1 Tbsp sugar
  • 2 Tbsp salt
  • 1 3/4 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 Tbsp vanilla
  • 1 egg

Combine flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening. Combine egg, vinegar and water. Stir well with fork. Add mixture to flour mixture and mix well. Chill. Will keep several weeks in refrigerator in plastic bag or may be frozen. Remove from refrigerator about 1 hour before rolling out crust.
