Lasagna

  • 8 oz lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 cup thick and spicy spaghetti sauce
  • 1/2 to 3/4 cup water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
  • 2 cup Ricotta (or small curd cottage cheese)
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated.

Brown beef. Drain. Add spaghetti sauce, water salt, seasonings and sugar. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. In 9×13 inch or lasagna pan layer 1/3 sauce, 1/2 uncooked lasagna, 1 cup cottage cheese and 1/3 mozzarella cheese. Repeat ending with sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 55 to 60 minutes. Remove foil and let stand 10 minutes before serving.
