Soak 1/2 pound dry pinto beans overnight. Boil with 3 strips of bacon until tender and cook water down low. Then in skillet, brown 1 pound ground beef.
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 3 Tbsp chili powder
- 1/4 cup bell pepper, chopped
- 16 oz can stewed tomatoes
Add beef and rest of ingredients to beans and simmer until all is tender. If it is still rather soupy, add a small amount of rice.
