Fried Apple Pies

Filling:

  • 1 (8 oz) package dried applies
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 Tbsp flour

Cover apples with water and cook slowly until tender and water has all been absorbed. Mash apples well. Mix together sugar and flour and stir into apples. Cook a minute or so until thickened.

Crust:

  • 2 3/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup milk

Mix flour and salt; stir in milk and oil. Roll out as for pie crusty; cut in 6 inch circles. Put small amount of apples on one side, fold over, and seal edges.

Serve warm or cold. These freeze well unbaked.
