• 3 cup sugar
• 1 package dates (8 oz)
• 1 cup milk

Combine this in large boiler. Cook until soft ball or a little more, take off heat. Let cool and beat until begins to get stiff add 1 1/2 cup pecans. Make unto 1 or 2 inch thick roll. Put in damp cloth. Let get real cool, slices in 1/4 inch thick pieces.
