Looking at Cooking with Mildred Swift

To add a special touch of elegance to your summer coolers, you might like to frost the edges of your glasses. So here’s how:

  • 2 tablespoons fresh, frozen of canned lemon juice (one egg white may be substituted for lemon juice)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 glasses

Pour lemon juice into a 1 pint bowl. Place sugar in another 1 point bowl. Dip each glass in lemon juice, and then in sugar. Place glasses in refrigerator and chill to harden sugar.

Yield: 8 frosted glasses.
