Garnished Ice Cubes

Looking at Cooking with Mildred Swift

Pour water into ice cube freezing trays until trays are 2/8 full. Then let ice cubes freeze. Place a canned pineapple tidbit and maraschino cherry on top of cubes. Now pour on just enough water to cover. Finish freezing. Remove ice cubes. These look so pretty in glasses of drinks or in punch bowls.

Cake coloring may be used to color the water. Boiled water makes clearer cubes.
