Hot Spiced Tea

Looking at Cooking with Mildred Swift

  • 3 1/2 teaspoons tea
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 3/4 cup white corn syrup
  • Juice 3 lemons
  • Juice 1 orange
  • Rind of 1 lemon (grated)
  • Rind of 1 orange (grated)
  • 2 cups cold water
  • 1 stick cinnamon

Heat sugar, syrup, juices, and rind in the 2 cups of cold water. Bring to boil. Strain. Steep tea in boiling water. Strain. Blend the fruit mixture and the tea.

Serve hot. This will serve 12 people.
