Looking at Cooking with Mildred Swift

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 pieces nutmeg (1/2 teaspoon)
  • 1 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 1/2 cup tea
  • 16 cups boiling water (4 quarts)
  • 3 oranges
  • 3 lemons

Boil first 4 ingredients 5 minutes and strain. When ready to serve, make tea. Add hot syrup and fruit juices.

25 servings.
