Looking at Cooking and Garden Jobs with Mildred Swift
- 1 loaf baked French bread
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup chopped parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion tops
Cut loaves in half lengthwise. Mash or grate the garlic. Melt butter, add other ingredients. Spread this seasoned butter on the bread. Press the two halves together, wrap in foil, and heat in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. To serve, cut in thick slices through the loaf. Cheese slices could be used in this bread.
