Looking at Cooking and Garden Jobs with Mildred Swift
- 2 cups flour
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 6 tablespoons fat
- 3/4 to 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
Mix dry ingredients. Add fat and blend until mixture looks like coarse meal. (Use pastry blender or 2 knives.) Add cheese, then milk. Pat out on floured board. Cut in size desired. Bake on ungreased cooky sheet 375 degrees.
