Rice and Corn Casserole

Connie Bearden 1 stick butter 1 chopped onion 2 hot peppers, chopped 2 cups cooked rice 2 cans corn 1 tsp sugar Salt/pepper to taste 1/2 cup grated cheese Melt butter and saute onions and peppers. Add rice, corn, sugar and seasoning. Top with cheese. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.

Marinated String Beans

Jan Davidson 1 cup oil 1 cup red vinegar 3 buttons garlic, cut in halves Season salt, black pepper to taste Pinch of sugar Add 2 cans string beans (also, add onion rings and sliced carrots, if desired). Mix; refrigerate overnight. Stir occasionally; adding salt as needed.
