Cream Cheese Crust

Louisiana Watermelon Festival Recipe

  • 1 (3 oz) package cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans

Cheese and margarine should be at room temperature. Add flour a little at the time, work in with pastry blender until smooth. Add pecans and mix well. Chill for 30 minutes or longer. Using hands, pat dough into pie plate. Prick shell with a fork.

Bake at 375° for 12 – 15 minutes or until light brown.

Cool thoroughly before filling.
