Peanut Butter Cookies

Farmerville First Baptist Church Sesquicentennial Cookbook 1847-1997

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tsp soda
  • 1 egg

Cream butter, peanut butter, and sugar. Combine flour and soda and add to mixture. Beat in egg and mix well. Roll into balls and place on cookie sheet. Press with a fork to flatten and decorate with criss cross design. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.

Yields about about 36 cookies.

*Use low-fat butter and peanut butter to reduce fat in cookies.
