Pineapple Cake

Gloria Wines, S.H.S.

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 3 tsp baking powder

Cream butter and sugar; mix dry ingredients and add alternately with milk. Fold in egg whites until stiff. Bake in well greased and floured cake pans. This makes two layers.

Pineapple Filling:

  • 1 large can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp flour
  • Pinch of salt

Let come to boil and cook for a few minutes. Ice cake while slightly warm.
