Christmas Cookies
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 (1 ounce) square unsweetened chocolate, melted
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a medium mixing bowl. Combine oil, egg, milk, melted chocolate, and vanilla in a small mixing bowl, stirring well. Make a well in center of flour mixture; add oil mixture, and mix until smooth. Stir in pecans.
Spread batter evenly in a greased 8 inch square pan. Bake at 400° for 10 to 15 minutes or until set. Cut into 2 inch bars while warm.
Yield: 16 bars.
